1999-Present EnergyWindow, Inc.
Chief Executive and founder of this business-to-business electronic commerce firm that provides an online forum, www.energywindow.com, on which business energy buyers post requests for power and suppliers bid on them. Developed the concept and site specification, provided funding, obtained detailed comprehensive knowledge of deregulating energy markets, led a small team of internal and external resources in developing the site, obtained appropriate state public service commission licenses or approvals, and developed a high quality group of prospective users who are energy decision-makers for over a quarter of a million facilities owned and operated by national account companies that use more than $5 billion in electric power annually, and their suppliers. Supervised a study of early experience in six deregulating electricity markets by an EnergyWindow intern and University of Colorado graduate student.
1997-1999 Indus International, Inc
Senior Vice President and leader of The Indus Energy Group, Indus Internationals electric utility industry executive consulting practice. The Energy Group supported senior industry executives in developing and implementing strategies to improve energy organization and asset performance, value, and risk. Indus is a supplier of enterprise asset management (supply chain and maintenance for industrial and commercial organizations) software and services. Led the development of a major new product, acquired additional accounts, managed a multi-million dollar supply chain and maintenance process/software implementation recovery project, and met operating income commitments in all but one of 12 quarters, thus returning the value of the acquisition of PRISM by Indus in two years.
1992-1997 PRISM Consulting, Inc.
Principal/Owner of an executive consulting firm that provided assistance to senior executives in the electric power industry in strategic planning, organizational change, and performance improvement. Clients included board members, CEOs, Presidents and other senior executives at such companies as Entergy, Commonwealth Edison, Carolina Power & Light, Dominion Resources, Houston Industries, Nebraska Public Power District, the New York Power Authority, Ontario Hydro, and numerous others. Indus acquired PRISM in 1997 for 1.5 times revenue. One of two principals involved in the negotiation.

Concurrently, adjunct graduate faculty member and instructor in the Engineering Management Program at the University of Colorado. Taught Management of Research & Development to graduate students through classroom and remote instruction. Supervised several graduate students research.
1990-1992 TENERA, LP
President and Vice President of a publicly traded professional services company with approximately $40 million annual revenue and 350 employees. Services and products included management consulting, energy facility engineering, environmental services, and information systems for power and other industry and government clients. Asked by the Board to take the position of president after a year of multi-million dollar losses, led a return to profitability and doubled shareholder value.
1989-1990 Sloan School of Management
Sloan Fellow participating in an intensive 12-month program of academics and research with managers and executives from US and international companies. Completed publication quality research relating to professional services, education of technical professionals, and the electric power industry involving research in the US, Japan, and Europe.
1983-1989 Advanced Technology, Inc.
Vice President and Division Manager (one of three founders) of a successful subsidiary of a large government professional services company formed to port services and products for commercial and industrial clients based on parent company capabilities and technology serving DOE and DOD clients. The subsidiary contributed 10% of the parent companys revenue and 30% of the operating income, thus contributing significantly to the value realized in an acquisition of the parent at 20 times earnings.
1979-1983 Impell Corporation
Manager responsible for starting up and managing several different divisions of an engineering and management services company. Managed 25 to 70 professionals performing system engineering, design engineering, risk analysis, engineering analysis, management consulting, and information systems development. In one assignment, chartered a new corporate function responsible for new product and services development.
1976-1979 Combustion Engineering, Inc.
Supervisor and Engineer performing design and analysis of large electric power generation facilitiesactivities included computer-based physics, thermodynamics, and system modeling. Responsible for developing, obtaining funding for, and managing several research and development projects.
1971-1975 Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Graduate Student and Research Assistant in engineering. Research and theses focused on mathematical methods for modeling and analysis of neutron physics.
1966-1971 United States Navy
Officer in the U. S. Navy nuclear submarine program. Qualified as a senior operator of three different power plants. Led a group of instructors who trained plant operators.
