EnergyWindow Clients Save Cool $ Million in Hot Energy Markets

BOULDER, COLORADO, February 7, 2002 - EnergyWindow, Inc., the company rapidly gaining national recognition as the "energy buyer's ally," announced today they helped four clients take advantage of a surge in energy market activity during the Fourth Quarter. The four clients, with 106 facilities in three states saved over $1 million in electric power supply costs using EnergyWindow's online energy request/bid system.

EnergyWindow clients come from a variety of industries and include Food Lion and Johns Manville. Most are national companies with hundreds of facilities with large electricity or gas demands.

Due in part to strong fourth quarter activity, EnergyWindow produced a profit for 2001. EnergyWindow's revenue is derived from consulting and transaction fees.

In a statement, President and CEO Jack Mason said, "We are really pleased. We were able to deliver on our commitment to help buyers deal with the complexity, opportunities, and risks of energy markets. It's rewarding that our commitment is paying off in our company's financial performance."

EnergyWindow, a 2-year-old company headquartered in Boulder, CO, was conceived on the notion that energy buyers with large supply demands could save money in deregulated markets. Along with the web site, www.EnergyWindow.Com, where energy buyers post their electricity and gas needs and suppliers bid on them, EnergyWindow provides a full range of services and products to assist businesses with all aspects of energy management. Services include strategy development, program development, cost and use analysis, tariff analysis and auditing. They also have an online product called Focus! It is a competitive market information tool that helps businesses keep up with the rapidly changing energy markets.

Explains Mason, "About half of the U.S. has begun deregulating utilities, but some states and service territories are more active than others. Unless you do the research, it's difficult for businesses to know where to place their efforts in order to find a good deal."

Most of the active suppliers in competitive electricity markets have registered as bidders with EnergyWindow. They include Xcel, Entergy, FirstChoice, Strategic Energy, Pepco, Dominion, Reliant, TXU, Washington Gas Energy, MidAmerican Energy and AES NewEnergy.
