BOULDER, COLORADO, May 26, 2002 - Coinciding with the third anniversary of its founding, EnergyWindow is rolling out a complete redesign of its web site at http://www.energywindow.com/.
The changes are influenced by inputs from a focus group conducted by EnergyWindow that included national energy consumers representing manufacturing, mass retail, restaurant, and grocery store industry segments.
The new site features the release of EnergyWindow's Focus!, a competitive market information tool that helps businesses keep up with the rapidly changing energy markets. Other new site capabilities include energy calculators, an energy event calendar, and a completely redesigned natural gas bid request functionality. This is in addition to the existing capabilities for power bid request, energy news, weather, energy prices, energy supply, energy securities, and energy discussion forum.
Other benefits of the new design include improved navigation menus, a new site map, and improved search capabilities. The new design also takes advantage of larger, higher resolution computer video capabilities without sacrificing compatibility with older systems.
"The upgrade reflects a great deal of customer feedback," said CTO Mike Usrey. "In addition to the focus group, we've incorporated informal feedback from literally hundreds of energy buyers and sellers." Dr. Usrey also says that behind the scenes, the system is more modular, so it should be easier to maintain and enhance.
Michael W. Usrey has 20 years of experience as an executive, consultant, and university faculty member. He is an expert in strategic planning, technology management, product development, operations management, and electronic commerce (see Dr. Usrey’s resume).
