EnergyWindow Chief Executive Speaks at Illinois Legislative Meeting on Electricity Deregulation
Springfield, Illinois, September 19, 2002 – EnergyWindow, Inc., the company rapidly gaining national recognition as the “energy buyer’s ally,” announces that Dr. Jack Mason, Chief Executive, spoke today at an Illinois legislative meeting held by Illinois State Representative J. Phillip Novak, who has led efforts to deregulate the state’s electric power markets. Representatives of national and state businesses, suppliers, Illinois electric utilities, the Illinois Commerce Commission, and the state legislature attended the meeting.
Dr. Mason was invited by Representative Novak to make a presentation based on his expertise and insights on deregulated energy markets. He cited observations based on EnergyWindow’s experience in virtually every competitive electric market in the US, independent research of the Illinois and other state electric markets, and research, which Mason supervised, conducted at the University of Colorado. He made recommendations to help overcome barriers that are shutting down Illinois’s competitive electric markets, which had been developing quite successfully. The recommendations were aimed at reducing business energy costs and facilitating business energy decisions for the benefit of all Illinois consumers.
The slides from his presentation and the research paper on which they were based may be viewed online.
Dr. Mason has 30 years of experience as an executive, consultant, and university faculty member. He is an expert in business and technology strategy, performance management, energy management, electronic commerce, facility repair and supply, and deregulating energy markets (see Dr. Mason’s resume).
